The Hazy Library selects materials for the collection in accordance with the Hazy Library Collection Management Policy. The purpose of the Hazy Library’s collection is to support and advance learning, scholarship, and research at the Prescott Campus.
Furthermore, the library endorses the principles set forth by the American Library Association in the Library Bill of Rights and the Freedom to Read Statement.
- All formal requests to reconsider library materials must be made in writing using the Reconsideration of Library Materials Form.
- Since ERAU is a private university, only current ERAU students, faculty, and staff can submit a Reconsideration of Library Materials Form.
- The Library Director will adjudicate the written request and convene a Library Information Management Committee to make a recommendation concerning the disposition of materials under reconsideration.
- The Library Director will notify the requestor of a decision within 30 business days of receipt of the completed Reconsideration of Library Materials Form.
- Access to and use of materials under reconsideration will not be restricted during the review process.
- All decisions are final. Once validated by the process, materials shall not be eligible for further reevaluation as each challenged item has been through a rigorous review.
