Library Mission

The mission of the Hazy (pronounced “hah-zee”) Library and Learning Center is to promote academic success and enrich the learning experience for the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University – Prescott Campus community by providing an information hub of user-centered services, information resources, staff expertise, and innovative facilities to support interactive learning, teaching, and research.

Library Planning Goals

EXPERTISE and ENGAGEMENT (People)

Students, faculty, and staff will receive high levels of customer services responsive to their needs, interact with skilled and knowledgeable staff, and engage with staff who support their success.

INFORMATION RESOURCES (Research and Scholarship)

Students, faculty, and staff will be able to identify, locate and access quality information resources using on-site and digital collections, including the university institutional repository, consortia and external resources in order to conduct research and scholarship across all phases of the research cycle.

SPACES and TECHNOLOGY (Library as Place)

Students, faculty, and staff will experience an inviting and comfortable facility with learning spaces and technology tools that contribute to high quality individual, collaborative, and interactive learning.

TEACHING and LEARNING (Curriculum)

Students, faculty and staff will receive excellent information literacy instruction that facilitates knowledge creation, discovery and access to library information resources, and learning services that contribute to academic success and lifelong learning.
