Library Computer Locations (Click Here For Availability)

On the first floor, the instruction room (Room 123) has 40 desk-top computer stations available to students when not in use by classes.  The Undergraduate Research Institute area of the library has 17 computers available.  Eight computers are in the Quiet Zone  and four kiosk computers are available to search the Library Catalog, check email, and print.

The second floor Computer Commons has 44 computers available for use anytime during library open hours. Four of these computers have scanners attached.

All desk-top computers feature Dual Monitors, Windows 10 and have MS Office 2016. There are also specialized programs like MatLab, CATIA, and SPSS available. Each desk-top station has a DVD/CD player, CD burner and can print to a color laser printer or the high quality HP Designjet plotter.


Laptops are available for checkout at the 1st floor Checkout Desk and 2nd Computer Commons Help Desk. The Student Laptops are for in-library use only.  All laptops come with wireless network connectivity. Laptop Lock-Down cables are also available for checkout.

    • Overdue fines are $1.00 per hour, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to a maximum of $24.00

    • Limited to student athletes traveling for athletic events
  • Staff and Faculty Laptops (10 Day Checkout)
    • Available at 2nd floor Computer Commons Help Desk
    • Limited to faculty and staff traveling for university related events or conferences

Computer Commons and Laptop Assistance

Computer Commons Help Desk staff provide support for computers, printers, scanners and software in the Computer Commons area. The desk is staffed during all open library hours.

Campus General Use Computing Labs

There are several general use labs available on campus for student use. More information about lab location and hours is available on the Open Computer Labs – Prescott Campus page or on the Student Open Computing Labs handout.

Testing Center & Open Computing Lab (Room 232)

The Testing Center is open to all students, staff and faculty for general computing as well as video, audio or photo editing or production needs when the Testing Center is not open. The lab contains two video editing stations utilizing Dell’s T3500 computer, two HP ScanJet 4850 scanners and two iMac computers. There are also Seven Dell OptiPlex 7040 computers. For availability when the Test Center is open, please check with the Testing Administrator, or phone (928-777-3825 / 928-777-4874).

Prescott Campus ResNet Support Office (an IT Service)

ResNet (Resident Hall Network) is an Internet network that brings both wired Ethernet and wireless connectivity to residence halls on campus. ResNet Computing Consultants (RCC) are located in the Hazy Library in room 237. They provide a “Best effort” level of support and are here to help you fix your own computer. All services are provided free of charge. RCC is available fall and spring semesters only, Monday through Friday 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
