Check Computer Availability

 

First Floor

  • Instruction room (Room 123): 40 computers
  • Undergraduate Research Institute: 17 computers
  • Quiet Zone: 8 computers
  • Kiosks: 4 computers for searching the Library Catalog, checking e-mail and printing

Second Floor

  • Computer Commons: 44 computers
  • Scanners: 4 HP scanners beneath clock-wall, 1 Fujitsu scanner by computer B43-215-E03
  • Kiosk: 1 computer available

All computers feature dual monitors, Windows 10 and MS Office 2016, DVD/CD player, CD burner, and can print to b/w and color printers, and plotters. There are also specialized programs like MATLAB, CATIA and SPSS available. 

Laptops

Checkout laptops at the 1st floor Checkout Desk and 2nd floor Computer Commons Help Desk. Laptop Lock-Down cables are also available for checkout.

    • Laptops may be renewed
  • Athletics Department Laptops (10-Day Checkout)
    •  Available on the 2nd floor Computer Commons Help Desk
    • Limited to student athletes traveling for athletic events

    • Available on the 1st floor and at 2nd floor Computer Commons Help Desk
    • Please Note: You must login to the laptop on campus to allow laptop to work from off-campus
    • Limited to one renewal
  • Event Laptops (On Campus Only)
    • Available on the 2nd floor Computer Commons Help Desk
    • Please Note: Event laptops are not to leave the campus grounds.
    • 2-week prior approval required.

Software Access

All software on laptops is available off-campus but requires use of the university's VPN. (A complete list of updated software versions is available but requires an ERNIE login)

Computer Commons and Laptop Assistance

Computer Commons Help Desk staff provide support for computers, printers, scanners and software in the Computer Commons area. The desk is staffed during all open library hours.

Campus General Use Computing Labs

There are several general-use labs available on campus for student use. More information about lab location and hours is available on the Open Computer Labs - Prescott Campus page.

Testing Center (Room 232)

The Testing Center (Room 232) is the campus Testing Center. Please see the Testing Center page for hours, contacts and the Test Request Form.

Prescott Campus Resnet Support Office (An IT Service)

ResNet (Resident Hall Network) is an Internet network that brings both wired Ethernet and wireless connectivity to residence halls on campus. ResNet Computing Consultants (RCC) are located in the Hazy Library in room 237. They provide a “Best effort” level of support and are here to help you fix your own computer. All services are provided free of charge. RCC is available fall and spring semesters only, Monday through Friday, 4-8 p.m. Please contact the help desk by phone at 928-777-6990 or by using the IT Support form to open a support ticket.
